What does a day in the life at RCFE look like?
At Home & Heart Residential Care, our Canoga Park RCFE offers residents a peaceful, personalized daily experience shaped by choice and comfort. This is a day in the life at RCFE — where routines are flexible, meals are home-cooked, and every individual is respected.
The day begins gently. Each resident at our residential care facility wakes at their own pace. Some enjoy coffee on the patio, others take their time with support from caring staff.
Private wake-up times
Assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing
Breakfast when and where the resident prefers
Mid-morning brings meaningful choices. In our RCFE environment, residents are free to join what interests them — or simply enjoy quiet time.
Bingo, art therapy, or crossword games
Bible study or reminiscing

Meals are a highlight of a day in the life at RCFE. Each dish is homemade, nourishing, and adaptable to dietary needs. Residents choose their dining space — the kitchen table, the garden, or in-room.
Lunch served around 12:00 PM
Home-cooked meals and snack options
Personal preference always honored
Our ADA-compliant backyard invites fresh air and calm. Residents rest, chat, or engage in gentle one-on-one activities with caregivers.
Relaxation under the gazebo

Nail care or TV in-room
Companionable quiet
As the day ends, residents follow their own rhythm for winding down. Our caregivers offer help with bedtime routines — always privately and respectfully.
